Removing eMDee USB Audio Drivers

Jump to navigationJump to searchFollow these instructions to remove all of the drivers associated with the eMDee USB8x8 audio interface. Before beginning, unplug the USB cable or remove power from the USB8x8 interface box.
- From the Control Panel or Windows Settings, open the Windows Device Manager
- From the Device Manager main menu, Click View and then select Show hidden devices
Remove USB8x8 Sound Drivers
- From the tree list of devices, open the item Sound, video, and game controllers
- Find all of the instances of drivers with the name that starts with "USB 8x8 [0] Chan..." and perform the following steps for each:
- Right-click on the name of the driver
- Select Uninstall device from the drop-down menu
- Click the Uninstall button from the warning dialog box
- Repeat the three previous steps until all of the "USB 8x8..." drivers have been removed.
Remove USB8x8 Composite and Control Drivers
- From the tree list of devices, open the item Universal Serial Bus controllers
- Find all of the instances of drivers with the name that starts with "eMDee USB-8x8..." and perform the following steps for each:
- Right-click on the name of the driver
- Select Uninstall device from the drop-down menu
- If a checkbox is shown labeled Delete the driver software for this device, make sure the box is checked
- Click the Uninstall button from the warning dialog box
- Repeat the three previous steps until all of the "eMDee USB-8x8..." drivers have been removed.
Re-Install Drivers
Once all of the existing drivers have been removed, reconnect the USB8x8 audio interface box to the PC and re-install the drivers:
