USB8x8 Windows 10 Setup and Verification

Follow these instructions to setup and verify the operation of the USB8x8 audio interface. Before you begin, make sure that no other applications that use the sound device are running. It is also a good idea to perform these steps from a fresh power-on state so that any previous settings from applications won't affect the results.

  • Open the Sound Control Panel by right-clicking the Windows Start button and selecting Control Panel.
  • Select Hardware and Sound from the Control Panel, then select Sound from the next window.
  • From the Sound Control Panel select the Playback tab - you should see devices similar to this:

  • Right-click on USB 8x8 [0] Chan 3-4 and select Properties
  • Click the Levels tab and set the volume level as shown below:

  • You should now be able to hear inputs 3 & 4 being routed to outputs 3 & 4 (e.g. speak into the microphone and you should hear your voice in the headset with a slight delay).
  • While listening, you can go back to the Levels tab and adjust the Line In Volume as necessary.
  • Once you have verified that the inputs are being routed to the outputs, uncheck the checkbox for Listen to this device and then click OK to close the Line In Properties window.

Repeat this procedure for the other devices: USB 8x8 [0] Chan 1-2, USB 8x8 [0] Chan 5-6 and USB 8x8 [0] Chan 7-8 to verify their setup.
